The transfer of BoatUS to GEICO was done to better align for growth. BoatUS Marine Insurance created a specialized insurance policy for peer to peer rental networks.
How long does it take to get a Florida boating license?
You should get your card within 2 to 3 weeks if your course provider automatically sends it.
How long is the Florida boating course?
How long will it take for the course to be completed? At least five hours of education are required for the Florida Boating Safety course. You will need to take a short quiz at the end of each module to pass the final exam. 180 minutes is how long it will take you to finish the final exam.
Is BoatUS owned by Geico?
With the great service you expect from GEICO, the company has collaborated with BoatUS to develop a policy for boaters. The policies were written by GEICO Marine Insurance Company.
Is BoatUS the same as Sea Tow?
Both Sea Tow and BoatUS have plans for towing. Sea Tow’s Gold membership costs $169 a year, while BoatUS’s unlimited towing package costs $149. There are a lot of similarities between the two organizations.
Can you drive a boat with a DUI in Florida?
It is against the law to operate a vessel in Florida with a blood alcohol level of more than 0.05%. You could be fined between $500 and $1000 if you are convicted on a first conviction. If you are convicted for the first time, you could face up to six months in jail.

How long does it take for a membership to be renewed? On the day of payment, your membership and towing services become effective, but will not be renewed for a year on the last day of the month. Membership and towing services will end on July 31st of the following year if you join on July 3.
